Those who trust in The Lord despite all hardships, will find their reward in the future kingdom - the New Jerusalem - confident in the fact that He preserved Jerusalem in the past.

Christ's ressurection from the dead assures us of the truth of God's promise of righteous judgment for those who repent and believe. Our previous pagan ignorance, once overlooked by God, will no longer protect us.
